No, I mean really…?
My name is Megan and I’m the Administrator. I’m also the one writing these stories — but I can’t take all the credit, because I’ve had plenty of real life input to base them on. Dr. Hardlypie is based on my father, who was a practicing clinical psychologist for many years before retiring because of health issues. Over the years he has written drafts for me to polish, told me wonderful stories, contributed the occasional snippets of poetry — and overall been a fabulous inspiration for the content you’ve been reading. On the whole, it’s one of my favorite projects — but he’s given me no small number of brilliant directions to write in and assisting him, at all moments, were the pack of family pets, and my sister, and my mother. You might be surprised at how real some of the bits and pieces are — The parts I’ve used to glue them together, well, I won’t vouch for those!
I recently took down the bulk of Dr. Hardlypie’s content and replaced it with new material, because I’m gathering up a collection to illustrate (the Cartoonist? He’s real, too!) and publish. The format could turn out to be ebook, coffee table, or both — I’m asking for suggestions, if you’d like to put your two cents in. In fact, it would be awesome if you did put your two cents in. That brain-generated, non-monetary two cents is worth a lot to me!
I keep a lot of other websites but this particular project has always been in flux, and interesting things are happening. If you want to keep abreast of changes, you can add your address to the mailing list. I promise that your email is safe with me — I hate spam, advertisements, and more than anything, non-permission marketing. I intend to use the list only to notify interested parties that new content is posted, or new projects are in the works, so if you like what you see, jump in. :}
